2. Principle

D1 Toolbox has no developer-operated user account, advertising, usage analytics or tracking. The app does not operate a developer server and does not transmit personal or system data to the developer on its own.

3. Data stored locally

Projects, building names, controller names and IP addresses, technical identification data, imported or read VCF configurations, backups, impedance measurements, event lists, maintenance sessions, system-check results, command records, rack layouts and app settings may be stored locally on the user's device. An entered password is protected by the iOS Keychain. The developer cannot access this data.

4. Local network and Telnet

With the user's permission, the app scans only the configured IPv4 range on the local network. Connections are established directly between the Apple device and the explicitly selected controller. Compatible systems use unencrypted Telnet for service commands. This function must therefore only be used by authorised technicians within a trusted, protected service network.

5. Export

Reports, VCF backups and other files are exported only when the user explicitly invokes the system share sheet. The privacy terms of the selected target app or storage provider then apply.

6. TestFlight beta

Apple may process installation, app version, device and operating-system information, sessions, crashes and voluntarily submitted feedback as part of TestFlight. Depending on the invitation method, a tester's name and email address may be visible in App Store Connect. Data made available to the developer is used only to operate the beta, analyse errors and improve the app.

7. This website

The hosting server processes technically necessary connection data to deliver and secure the website. The site currently has no analytics, tracking, advertising or external media. Your privacy choice is stored locally under d1-toolbox-cookie-consent-v1. Optional categories remain disabled unless you actively consent.

8. Deletion and rights

Local projects, controllers, credentials and settings can be deleted or reset in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data, while previously exported files must be deleted separately. Subject to applicable legal requirements, data subjects may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Changes

This policy will be updated if features, services or legal requirements change. The current version remains available at this URL.
